  • The transmitter can be either mounted on the camera's hotshoe or connected to the camera's PC socket with the cord supplied.
  • Using the PC socket connection (if your camera has one) allows simultaneous use of a hotshoe-mounted flash unit and off-camera flashes with this radio trigger set.
  • There is a test button on the top of the transmitter for test firing. The dip switches for channel selection are located on the bottom.
  • There is no power switch. The transmitter uses a small 12V alkaline battery (the type typically used in garage door opener remotes).
  • The receiver has a mounting bracket that will fit into a traditional flash stand, with a 1/4 20 threaded hole for mounting on a light stand or tripod.
  • An adjusting knob allows the receiver to tilt on the bracket, with detents at straight up and 45 degree forward and backward positions (It can be tightened in any position +/- 90 degrees from vertical).
  • On the top of the receiver is a hotshoe for mounting a flash unit. On the front of the unit is a small on/off switch and a small LED light that illuminates briefly when fired. The back of the receiver snaps off to reveal the battery compartment and two dip switches for channel selection.
  • It uses two AAA batteries, the type typically used in film cameras. The battery compartment of the receiver is not clearly marked for polarity, but there is a faint outline showing the positive tip of the battery on the circuit board.
